Signing Up for EdmodoSigning up for Edmodo is easy. First, you will need your school district's ID. You can get this ID from your school's TRT.
Next, you will need to select a username and password. This is how you will log in, but students will only see your name as Mr. or Mrs. and your last name. |
Creating a ClassFirst you will need to name your class. This is important because this is how students will differentiate your class from any others they are enrolled in.
Choose the level, ranging from preK to Higher Ed. You can also choose a subject area and specific subject (such as Math and Geometry). Once you have created the class, Edmodo will give you a code. You can also find this code in the right hand navigation pane. |

Creating a Webquest
Using Edmodo for webquests is a fun and easy way to keep students engaged when providing background information on a topic. This is a great alternative to lecturing, it really puts the students in charge of their own learning experience.
Here, the students clicked on the links to find out information about The Great Depression, which they used to fill out a form with a partner. Then, they used the photo slideshow to answer a BCR question right in Edmodo. |
